ATIKA

(Lituania)

After Darius Žvirblis, founder and vocalist of the Lithuanian rock band Atika, strummed his guitar as he closed the MJR Sunday and gathered a whole bunch of listeners last year, there was no other choice but to invite him to the festival’s Main Stage with the entire band. The songs of Atika, famous for almost three decades, are characterised by D. Žvirblis’s philosophy of life, captivating melodies, and hypnotising voice. Atika remains the same and that is their greatest power – no multi-media, no concepts, no art. Simply an overt and sincere conversation between two wandering souls.
