In Prussian, Wejdas means Gods image. The project, initiated in Jurbarkas Town in 1994, has always been extremely close to the very roots of the Baltic scene. It was founded by now famous DONIS and Darius Gerulaitis from ENSEMBLE SP. The duet may be called the forefathers of amber ambient. They recorded 5 impressive and deeply moving albums before 1998. WEJDAS was revived in 2004 after six long years of silence and boldly dived into ever more dizzying depths. Last year, Dangus released their seventh album "Žemės Alsavimas" (Earth Breathing), while the band held its first live performance on the MJR stage.
