Gifted Lithuanian ambient/ethereal/neofolk composer Donatas Bielkauskas has been making music, playing within different projects and performing in diverse shapes for over ten years. His solo project DONIS has always been marked by solid, subtle and mature sound of modern music enriched with Baltic elements. Donis’ immaculate debut album “Deinaina” set a new high watermark for the genre. Then now extensive discography of Donis was complemented by the ambient CD “Baltos Juodos Klajos” (Dangus), followed by a special project “Švilpiai”, the joint work of seaside composers named “20:00.000”, a joint project of Donis and Kūlgrinda named "Sotvaras", and ambient "Vacuum" (2004). Right after Mėnuo Juodaragis festival, Dangus expects to release the newest Donis’ post-folklore album "Bite lingo", recorded with remarkable vocalist Rasa Serra and ensemble KURŠIŲ AINIAI.
